Common CCTV Problems We Fix

Cameras Offline or Not Recording

One or more cameras showing "no signal" or failing to record is the most common fault we attend. Causes range from failed PoE ports and damaged cabling to water ingress or a camera hardware failure. We diagnose the root cause and fix it rather than simply replacing parts until something works.

NVR and DVR Issues

Recorders that freeze, reboot unexpectedly, lose recordings or refuse to connect remotely. We can diagnose hard-drive failures, firmware problems, overheating and network configuration issues on most professional NVR and DVR units.

Storage and Hard-Drive Failures

CCTV hard drives run continuously and have a limited lifespan. If your recorder is no longer retaining footage for the expected number of days, or recordings are corrupted, a drive replacement or expansion is usually the fix.

Remote Viewing Not Working

Lost remote access to your cameras is frustrating. The problem is usually network-related: changed router, expired DDNS, ISP changes, or a misconfigured port. We can restore remote viewing and set up more reliable methods where possible.

Poor Night Vision or Image Quality

Cameras that worked well initially but now produce blurry, dark or washed-out images at night. Often caused by dirty lenses, failed IR LEDs, water inside the housing, or incorrect camera settings that have drifted after a firmware update.

Camera Replacement and Upgrades

If a camera has physically failed or no longer meets your needs, we can replace it with a compatible unit or upgrade to higher resolution. We also expand existing systems with additional cameras where coverage gaps have been identified.

System Takeovers

If your previous CCTV installer has closed, moved away, or is no longer responsive, Titan can assess your existing system. We work with most professional Hikvision, Dahua and other IP-based systems. After an initial inspection we will advise whether repair, expansion or replacement is the best option for your situation.

Planned Servicing

Regular servicing helps prevent unexpected failures. A typical service visit includes cleaning camera lenses and housings, checking cable connections, verifying recording and storage, testing remote access, and updating firmware where appropriate.
